GIFT CARD
The Gift
Card functions like a paper gift certificate.
However, unlike a paper gift certificate, it can be reloaded with
additional monetary value and tracked electronically through a credit card
terminal, the Internet or a point of sale system.

·
Fixed Denomination
Cards contain a fixed dollar amount printed on the face of the cards. Cards cannot be re-activated for more than
the face value of the card.
·
Variable Denomination
Cards can be activated and recharged for any amount up to the maximum value of

·
Expiration
Time limits are optionally enforced that will expire a gift card after a set
amount of days. The expiration period
is reset every time the card is re-charged.
·
Security
Personnel can be assigned accounts with different levels of security. For example, some establishments restrict
the ability to add money to cards to management, but allow all employees to
redeem money from cards. The refund,
cash-out, and void transactions are typically restricted to management as well.
CASH CARD
Cash Cards
are typically purchased by the customer for personal use. These are often repeat customers who will
re-load and use the card regularly.
Cash Cards are loaded with value in the same manner as the Gift Card and
points as the frequency card. Points
are automatically calculated by a pre-specified formula that converts dollars

LOYALTY
/ FREQUENCY CARD
The Frequency Card features a
point tracking system. When a card is
swiped the points are tracked. This
allows merchants to recognize repeat customers by offering point-based rewards
for money spent at their location.
Note: only whole dollars are recorded as points. For example $1.75 will be 1 point for the transaction, and
additional purchase of $2.55 will be 2 points and 3 total points.
Options:
A. Instant Rewards
A predetermined message (26 characters) is printed on receipts when a
customer reach a point level. A
customer turns in a receipt they get the reward. The receipt is marked and
filed with the cashier’s drawer when turned in. No redemption is necessary. The receipt is used to redeem the
reward. For example at every 500-point
interval a receipt prints that says “one free oil change”.
B. Reward Redemption
Points are accumulated through the terminal and redeemed through the
terminal. No messages are printed. Transaction points and accumulated points
are printed on the receipt. The merchant provides a variety of rewards at
different point levels to be redeemed. Ex. 50 points – Free ice cream, 100
points free banana spilt.
C. Multiple Point Rewards
Pre-determined reward messages (26 characters) are printed on customer
receipts at variable point levels. 5 levels may be assigned. Ex. 50-points prints
“10% discount on Oil Change”, 100-points prints “15% off on Rear end alignment”
and 250 points prints “50% of Tune-up”. Points are redeemed though the terminal
when the customer wants a reward.
M. Cash Bonuses Based On Points Earned
Variable cash bonus amounts are rewarded to the customer when pre-defined point
thresholds are reached. Up to five
tiers can be configured.
N. Manual Points Rewards
Pre-defined reward messages print out on Activation or Add Points receipts when
a certain point threshold is reached.
