How It Works EFT Direct’s gift card system tracks important customer data for retailers and details the findings in easy-to- understand reports that can be accessed via a pass-code protected Web site or issued by the Account Services team. These reports can be segmented in categories such as "top 50 customers" or "lost customers," providing you with valuable information that enables you to target market via mail and email to reward top customers and rebuild relationships with customers who have stopped shopping at your store. Registration Customers can begin accumulating points as soon as they receive their card, but need to register their card before they can redeem their points. To register, customers need only to fill out a short registration form provided with their card and leave it with the cashier, or call the toll-free number featured on their card and provide the information via phone. This captured data—such as name, address, birth date and email—provides valuable information that can be used in ongoing marketing campaigns. Accumulating points is easy. Customers just need to present their card at the time of purchase. When the cashier swipes the card and keys in the purchase amount, the system automatically credits the correct number of points to the customer’s account and issues a receipt that notifies the customer how many points he or she has accrued.
